Class action lawsuit against the truck cartel enters the next phase

Following numerous negotiations, initial rulings, and the latest supplementary expert opinions in recent months, CARTEL CONSULTING and the law firm MMG DR MEIER MARZILLIER DR GUNTNER are taking further measures to assert claims for damages on behalf of transport companies and freight forwarders. In addition, CARTEL CONSULTING is offering entrepreneurs in the transport industry a referral program with extremely favorable terms.

CARTEL CONSULTING and the law firm MMG DR MEIER MARZILLIER DR GUNTNER have now begun to sue the cartel members for damages on behalf of the plaintiff group. To date, 13 lawsuits involving more than 3,000 clients and over 65,000 trucks have been filed with the Munich I Regional Court through plaintiff groups. The chances of success are 90%.

The claims for damages are being bundled with CARTEL CONSULTING and the law firm MMG Munich as individual lawsuits in a joint action – this allows the companies to have a say, for example in settlement negotiations, and to be informed about all decisions and developments.

Unlike with conventional offers, even if the case is successful, CARTEL CONSULTING does not deduct all advance costs from the successfully enforced gross proceeds before distributing the percentage share of the proceeds to the aggrieved entrepreneurs. Instead, a percentage cost cap is offered. This means that companies have a guaranteed payout percentage in the event of success.
